More “charged” versions of the GT and GT Performance Edition of the Ford Mustang Mach-E with 480 horsepower and a new driving mode will appear in the fall. Orders open on Wednesday 28 April. But the edition of speedme.ru talked about it a few days ago. Prices for the model have also become known today – they start at $ 61,000 for the GT and $ 66,000 for the GT Performance. That’s $ 23,685 more than asking for a 460bhp V8 Mustang GT, and $ 1,190 less than a Tesla Model Y Performance.
The Mustang Mach-E GT features an 88.0 kWh battery pack and two electric motors, one on each axle, that send power to all four wheels. However, the front engine is more powerful than the weaker Mustang Mach-E. The total power is 480 hp. but there is much more torque in the GT Performance Edition. Ford says the GT can accelerate to 100 km / h in 3.8 seconds and the GT Performance Edition in 3.5 seconds.
Both have an additional driving mode that complements the Whisper and Engage modes, called the Unbridle Extend – it’s designed for on-track use only. Ford says the new mode balances power output for ideal on-highway use, as well as adjusting traction control settings.
Ford estimates that the GT model will be able to travel up to 400 km and the GT Performance Edition 380 km. The Mustang Mach-E with the longest range is the California Route 1. It has a range of 490 km.
