Ford unveiled the F-150 Raptor back in February, but the brand hasn’t mentioned anything about its power numbers. Now the American brand has confirmed a number of technical characteristics of the model.
Ford has confirmed that the 3.5-liter EcoBoost High-Output V6 engine for the 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor SUV will develop 450 horsepower and 691 Nm. The confirmation came from an email that also includes a very important piece of news.
The filing for the 2021 F-150 Raptor is almost open. The brand said the assembly and pricing website will go live today, June 10, 2021.
In terms of pricing, a 2021 F-150 ordering guide was leaked in April that listed price tags for the new F-150 Raptor and F-150 Tremor. The truck, inspired by desert racing, has a starting price of $ 64,145, while the Tremor has a starting price of $ 49,505.
The new F-150 Raptor will have the same power ratings as the outgoing model. That being said, the high-performance pickup has received significant suspension upgrades. A five-link rear with extra-long trailing arms takes care of the rear axle, while new Fox shocks in a 3.1-inch body and massive 24-inch coil springs on all wheels should provide incredible wheel travel.
But if you’re hungry for more power, the V8-powered Ford Raptor R appears. It will appear in 2022. Car enthusiasts can order their own 2021 F-150 Raptor along with accessories or whatever the configurator allows to add to the pickup’s list of features.
