2021 VW T7 Multivan hits Nurburgring before premiere on June 10

After a long teaser campaign, the new generation Volkswagen Transporter (T7) has arrived at the Nurburgring. The prototype has no camouflage on the outside and rides on black wheels with thin tires.

The German automaker has focused its efforts on hiding the front end of the T7 Multivan. The headlights of the new items look bigger than they really are. The grille, logo and bumper parts are also hidden, along with a line of side windows, a tailgate, a roof spoiler and taillights.

In the Multivan configuration, also known as the MPV, the 2021 T7 has three rows of seats and a clever track table design that can be used in a variety of ways. The cabin is equipped with a modern infotainment system with a 10-inch display. The gear lever is wire-shifted. Driving safety is monitored by 360-degree video cameras.

The T7 is built on the MQB platform that is used in many Volkswagen Group products such as the Golf Mk8. The novelty will be launched with a variety of powertrains. Petrol and diesel units are considered part of the range.

Volkswagen has already confirmed a plug-in hybrid variant with a lithium-ion battery installed under the floor to maximize interior space, an electric motor, a turbocharged petrol engine and a dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Representatives of the brand refrained from details, since The next generation Transporter will debut on June 10th. Its assembly will start in the second half of 2021.
