2022 Chevy Equinox RS high-performance crossover will reportedly start at $ 31,295
The crossover was originally reported to go on sale as a 2021 model, but the auto’s debut was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Chevy Equinox RS is marketed as a sportier variant of the automaker’s second best-selling model. Prices for Equinox RS for 2022 were disclosed thanks to internal dealer documentation, which was at the disposal of the foreign automotive resource CarsDirect.
The Equinox RS will reportedly start at $ 31,295 for the front-wheel-drive version of the model, while the all-wheel drive version will start at a minimum of $ 32,895.
As previously announced, this price places the Equinox RS between the LT trim and the TOP Premier, with the latter having a starting price of $ 32,195.
The Chevy Equinox RS trim differs from the rest of the Chevy Equinox lineup with its darkened styling, visible on most body accents such as the Chevy badges, assorted badges, roof rails, four exhaust tips and a set of 19-inch alloy wheels. The mesh grille also has a high-gloss darkened finish. The interior is adorned with red stitching for a sporty feel, as with most RS trims in the Chevy lineup.
It is important to note that all 2022 Equinox trims will receive price reductions from the outgoing 2021 model year. The base LS version will retail for $ 26,995, down from $ 27,595 for the 2021 crossover. The top-of-the-line Equinox Premier will have a starting price of $ 32,195, down $ 500 from $ 32,695 for the most expensive version of the 2021 crossover.
