2022 Ram 1500 recalled in Australia


The fault could cause the pick-up’s power steering to stop working, according to the recall notice.

Ram Trucks Australia has recalled 723 examples of the 2022 Ram 1500 DT, citing a potential fault with its power steering software system.

Affecting 2022 model-year examples of the Ram 1500 DT, the recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: “Due to a manufacturing defect, the power steering software system may not operate correctly. This may result in a loss of steering control.

“A loss of steering control could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”
