2023 Volkswagen ID.7 electric sedan first shown in the photo

The German company Volkswagen continues to actively work on the electrification of its cars. The ID.7 will go on sale in Europe in 2 years.

The photos show for the first time the new Volkswagen ID.7 sedan, which is being developed by the brand’s China division. The basis for the novelty was a concept car called ID Vizzion. Now the car is finally out for test trials. Despite the dense layer of masking film, this is pretty good for a first assessment of the car.

In the photo, we see a similarity with the style of the ID series in terms of narrowed headlights, and the bumper and air intakes are almost completely identical to the ID.4 elements. The sporty silhouette of the novelty immediately stands out in the side part – this look is given to it by the rear part, large rims and small struts.

Most likely, in terms of space in the cabin, the Volkswagen ID.7 will be on a par with the Passat and Arteon models. There is no official data on the dimensions of the car yet, but it is unlikely that its length will be less than 4.9 meters.

The new electric sedan should be officially unveiled in 2022, and production will begin a year later at a plant in Germany.

The Volkswagen ID.7 should be based on the MEB platform, which allows you to cover from 590 to 700 km of track without additional charging, depending on the type of battery.

Meanwhile, the new crossover Volkswagen Taigo was photographed without camouflage. From the point of view of the exterior, the car almost completely repeats the Nivus model, intended for South America.
