An independent artist has released his vision of what the 2022 Honda Civic could be with the high-performance Si. The render is based on the current Civic Si.
The 2022 Honda Civic has a more mature and refined design than the previous generation of this model, and we know that a new variant of the Civic Si is coming soon. These renderings from KDesign AG differ on what the front and rear of a more powerful version of the Japanese sedan might look like.
Up front, this rendering completely refreshes the lower front fascia of the new Civic. It gets large pentagonal elements on each side with fog lights in the lower corners. The inlet in the center is shorter here than on the standard model and has a mesh lining rather than horizontal strips.
The wheels take on a more sophisticated shape and there are also black side sills contrasting with the blue bodywork. The roof is also black.
At the back, the pentagonal elements in the front are the same as in the front. A small spoiler can be seen at the rear of the novelty. Like the current Civic Si, a thin trapezoidal exhaust juts out under the center of the bumper.
The main mystery of the new Civic Si is its powerplant. The current version of the tall model uses an upgraded version of the turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, developing 205 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque. However, Honda is increasing the standard version of this engine for the 2022 Civic EX and Touring to 180 hp. (240 Nm), which is an increase of 6 hp. and 20 Nm.
Expect the new Civic Si to debut later this year and it could hit stores before the calendar flips to 2022. Honda will establish production of “charged” new items in Canada.
Not so long ago, AutoTImesNews wrote that Honda introduced a new budget seven-seater crossover N7X as a replacement for the BR-V. Honda has completely revamped the N7X concept. The new three-row crossover is marketed as a replacement for the BR-V. The novelty looks more or less ready for mass production. Let’s talk about this in more detail.
