Audi Advantage ownership packages introduced

Owners of new and used Audis can now purchase a two-year service, roadside assistance and warranty program – provided their vehicle meets a few prerequisites.

Audi Australia has announced a new Audi Advantage program, offering servicing, roadside assistance and warranty packages for owners of new and existing Audi models.

The program offers two-year service, warranty and roadside assistance packages for most new Audi vehicles, as well as used vehicles that are either less than eight years old, or have travelled less than 120,000km (whichever comes first).

New-car buyers can option two of the Audi Advantage packages at the time of purchase – priced from $2700 to $5600 depending on model – which Audi says effectively boosts the (fully-transferrable) factory warranty to nine years.

Meanwhile, used Audi vehicles that fall under the aforementioned criteria are eligible on two prerequisites: they have a complete service history to “manufacturer specifications”, though not necessarily carried out at an Audi dealer, and can pass a 115-point dealer inspection.

This dealer inspection is also used for vehicles entering the Approved Plus certified pre-owned program – cars which now benefit from “a minimum” of two years’ servicing, warranty and roadside assistance, and can be optioned with additional Audi Advantage packs.

“The warranty and service plan elements come in addition to any remaining new-vehicle warranty and service plan that is attached to a particular vehicle. In order to be eligible for the program, vehicles need to meet the same prerequisites as for Audi Advantage eligibility,” Audi explains.

The Audi Advantage program is available for all models except the E-Tron electric car range, including the E-Tron and E-Tron Sportback SUVs, plus the E-Tron GT sedan.

Prices for the program range from $2700 for the A1 city car, to $5600 for the R8 supercar – a full list is included below. The package costs $3700 for Audi Australia’s best-selling model, the Q5.

“In designing this program, we wanted to ensure that Audi owners are the envy of the Australian premium market,” Paul Sansom, Audi director and Volkswagen Group Australia managing director said in a statement.

“Not only did we want to provide a program that gives our owners complete confidence in their vehicle for an extended period of time, but one that also secures the value of their investment, should they decide to trade-up to a newer model in the future.”
