BMW will unveil the new electric iX and i4 Gran Coupe models on June 1 during a special event in Los Angeles, ahead of its official launch early next year.
The group’s new electric models will mark their North American debut at a specially prepared event, which is described as “an exciting new experience for the BMW brand.” The site has been designed in the style of a gallery and will feature new products from BMW, BMW M, BMW i, MINI and BMW Motorrad.
Representatives of the concern wanted to offer motorists something special for the premiere of these cars, so they created a brand platform in one of the most important electric car markets on the planet. A complete schedule of programs and activities has been developed that will create opportunities for the automaker to interact with drivers.
The new BMW iX will be offered with a twin-engine 500 horsepower. BMW estimates the range to reach 483 km when fully charged. Acceleration to 100 km / h will take up to 5 seconds.
Details on pricing and range will be announced on June 1, when pre-orders open.
The new i4 Gran Coupe, which will also be available for pre-order on June 1, is powered by a variety of battery and configurations, offering a driving range of up to 482 km and an output of up to 530 hp. Acceleration to 100 km / h takes about 4 seconds.
Both new electric vehicles will also be the first BMW models to feature the latest iDrive 8 in-car interface, which promises a “more natural, interactive and cohesive user experience.”
