Hennessey builds 1,026-horsepower SUV from most powerful Ram 1500 TRX pickup

American tuners have taken the world’s most powerful production pickup, the Ram 1500 TRX, and turned it into a large SUV with impressive dynamics.

The new project was named Mammoth 1000. This is a brutal seven-seater SUV that can accelerate to a hundred in just 3.2 seconds. To make the Ram 1500 TRX pickup look like an SUV, the tuners had to thoroughly redesign its stern.

So, after visiting Hennessey’s workshops, the former pickup received a redesigned roof, sides and tailgate. What is the interior of the novelty, the tuners have so far preferred not to show. It is only known that the second row will consist of individual armchairs, and the rear sofa can be folded if desired. The SUV’s suspension can be adjusted, and its ground clearance will increase by almost seven centimeters.

The tuners decided to leave the factory wheels, providing them with massive off-road tires. The 6.2-liter V8 engine, standard for a pickup, is being upgraded: the supercharger, injection system, exhaust, etc. have undergone revision. After that upgrade, the power of the power plant increased to 1026 hp. (against 717 hp).

The founder of the tuning studio, John Hennessy, was very flattering about the new project.

He awarded the novelty with the loud title “King of SUVs”. However, he did not forget to mention the makings of a supercar. A total of 20 such machines are going to be produced. Each such SUV will cost about $ 375,000.
