American tuning studio Hennessey Performance, which makes powerful cars super-powerful and is not afraid of experiments, spoke about its new project. It is much more budgetary than the previous rework of the Ford Bronco.
Last fall, tuning studio Hennessey announced the Ford Bronco with a V8 engine and 750 hp. Only now its price of $ 225,000 made the model inaccessible to most buyers. The company is now developing a more affordable variant known as the VelociRaptor 400.
It features a twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6 engine complete with a high-flow air intake system as well as a new exhaust system and updated engine management software.
Thanks to these changes, the power output is increased from 330 hp. and 563 Nm of torque to 405 hp. 682 Nm. From zero to a hundred, such an SUV will accelerate in 4.9 seconds, which is not much slower than the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392.
In addition to improved performance, the VelociRaptor 400 features reinforced bumpers, retractable footpegs and 18-inch wheels with 35-inch off-road tires. Rounding out the bold look of the Ford SUV are LED auxiliary lights, embroidered headrests, individually numbered decals and a custom logo.
The model will be available in two- or four-door configurations with or without a convertible top. VelociRaptor 400 is currently available for order, and the cost of the tuning package is $ 24,950. Taking into account the base price of Bronco Wildtrak, buyers will have to shell out about $ 80,000.
It’s not cheap, but Hennessy noted that the VelociRaptor 400 retains all of the usual “engine modes and off-road systems.” The company also provides a 3-year or 36,000-mile warranty. This year, only 200 of these machines will be produced, and in 2022 the circulation will grow to 250 units.
Earlier, AutoTimesNews said that the second HiPhi electric car was shown on patent images. It is an electric sedan with very unusual shapes and proportions.
