Hyundai has revealed more details on the upcoming Alcazar SUV, which is a 3-row version of the Creta. While the pictures are still a few days away, we have the technical information and some features to talk about.
Let’s begin with the powertrains then. For petrol buyers, the Alcazar will offer a 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated 4-cylinder unit that develops 117 kW (159 metric hp) and 191 Nm (141 lb-ft) of torque. For those who want a diesel, there’ll be a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged unit with 85 kW (115 metric hp) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque on offer.
Both engines are expected to offer a choice of a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The driver gets to play with Eco, City and Sport modes. As with the Creta, the Alcazar will be a front-wheel-drive SUV, and there’s not gonna be an AWD option, not at least at launch.
