Chinese brand Roewe, which is closely associated with MG, will soon unveil a completely new concept model, photos of which have already been leaked on the web ahead of the premiere.
Like MG, Roewe is a brand of the Chinese manufacturer SAIC Motor. Roewe sells a wide range of sedans, crossovers, and SUVs, including the electric Marvel R that ships in Europe under the MG Marvel R Electric name. The Marvel R was the first model in the Roewe R line, a series of electric models that ranked higher in the market than conventional cars from the brand. The second R-Roewe is the R ER6, a redesigned electric sedan based on the i6.
In the coming years, the Roewe R range will be significantly expanded with the addition of the R Aura concept. Last year, Roewe already showed what to expect from R models in terms of design, and now patent images of a second R model have surfaced on the web. This is the R Aura II concept.
The Roewe R Aura II – as it will be called from the lettering on the tailgate – seems more SUV-like sibling to the R Aura Concept. The car has a similar roofline, and the curved door lines are also in line with what we saw earlier on the Aura. However, this R Aura II concept has a different front end, completely new lighting and a slightly different front bumper.
At the rear, the R-Aura II concept is more different from the R Aura concept. The lanterns are here completely connected to each other and have a protrusion at the edge of the tailgate. It is also striking that the R Aura II concept has “suicide doors” – the door handles, recessed in the body, are adjacent to each other. MG is expected to reveal the R-Aura II concept itself and provide additional information about the model.
