Lamborghini will unveil a limited edition Sian on May 18 to celebrate the Countach’s 50th anniversary

It has been half a century since the Countach was unveiled at the 1971 Geneva Motor Show. And on May 18, 2021, Lamborghini will unveil a limited edition Sian that pays homage to the Countach.

Also scheduled for Tuesday, May 18, is a press conference entitled “Vision for the future of Automobili Lamborghini”, at which representatives of the brand will talk about the brand’s plans for the coming years.

In 2016, Lamborghini unveiled the Aventador Miura Homage to mark the 50th anniversary of the iconic Miura. The Italian concern is expected to take a similar formula from Countach Homage. Only this model will be based on the Sian, not the Aventador. With this in mind, the special model will stand out from the “regular” Sian FKP 37 with a unique color palette for body painting. The supercar blog suggests that it may also feature some design cues that the designers spied on the original Countach.

Lamborghini will not make any changes to the supercar’s hybrid powertrain. The model, as before, will be equipped with a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine paired with a 48-volt electric unit. The total release force of the novelty will be 807 “horses”.

Lamborghini will now build 50 or 100 copies of the Countach Homage variant. Given the demand for these Lamborghinis, the automaker will have no problem selling them quickly.

Earlier our portal wrote that the Lamborghini brand has opened an exclusive showroom in New York.
