Mercedes-Benz is testing the new generation GLC crossover

The refreshed 2022 Mercedes GLC is slowly approaching launch as spy photographers captured the prototype with production lights.

The updated Mercedes GLC crossover is still hidden under camouflage, but some design points can be traced. We see a protruding grille, framed by swept headlights with integrated DRLs.

The GLC in the photo features a streamlined body and a more angular beltline, and the rearview mirrors have been carried over from the A-pillars to the door. The stern shows off the familiar tailgate, but the bumper is new. The taillights have tried on an angular S-class styling.

The salon on spy shots has not yet been presented. We expect the restyled SUV’s interior to follow in the footsteps of the 2022 C-Class. It’s a free-standing 12.3-inch virtual gadget that sits behind a new multi-spoke steering wheel and 11.9-inch multimedia touchscreen. It rises from the center console and replaces most of it.

As for the motors, the Germans have not yet made any official statements. It is expected that the crossover will receive a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine producing 255 hp. and 400 Nm of torque.

The drivetrain also features EQ Boost technology, which can provide an additional 20 hp. and 201 Nm of torque.

An AMG version with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a 6.1 kWh battery and an electric motor on the rear axle with up to 201 hp may appear later.
