Mugen tweaks the exterior and handling of the Honda Civic Type R

Chief tuner Honda has presented his next project. This court tuning studio is not part of Honda, but over the years of close cooperation, it has learned to comprehend all the subtleties of the brand’s philosophy.

The Mugen bureau finalized the Honda Civic Type R. The main emphasis was placed on mechanics, but the exterior was also refreshed. Experts have created a spectacular aerodynamic body kit for it.

The Civic Type R gets a carbon fiber hood with functional air vents, a set of custom decals, original wheels designed specifically for the CTR, and more. However, the most noticeable change is the technical filling of the car.

Tuning a Honda Turbo VTEC engine is not as easy as you might think, which is why King Motorsports – Mugen’s partner in the United States – aimed to achieve the gracefulness and convenience of factory tuning. Mugen retained the adaptive dampers and swapped the springs to make the car unrivaled in street driving.

Only now, not everyone thought this decision was successful. The result turned out to be too difficult for street driving, and for the track, such a car lacks the ability.

The spring rate at the rear has also been increased, and the Mugen tuning reduces mechanical traction, making the car more capable of cornering.
