We are talking about the 11th generation of the popular Japanese model. At the end of April this year, the presentation of the new Civic sedan took place. Now it’s finally the hatchback’s turn.
Honda, preparing a new generation for its popular compact model Honda Civic, decided to separate the sedan and hatchback from each other. We already know what the sedan looks like, and we will get acquainted with the hatchback this month, on June 23rd.
Then we will find out what are the differences between both options. Thanks to the released teaser, we know that the brand is presenting the new hatch as part of an online event. Moreover, the Japanese decided to continue the musical theme, as in the case of the debut of the sedan of the same name.
The Honda Civic will feature a young electronic duo from Canada, Majid Jordan, and an American artist HER.
We do not expect the sedan and the hatchback to be strikingly different from each other, apart from the trunk.
At the same time, it is known that Honda has prepared a 6-speed manual transmission for the hatchback. For which engine it is intended, unfortunately, is not reported. The engine range of new items is expected to include a 158-horsepower 4-cylinder two-liter engine and a 1.5-liter 180-horsepower turbo engine.
In general, the hatchback should get a more sporty character. The market debut of the Honda Civic sedan will take place before the end of 2021. But sales of the hatchback will have to wait until early next year.
