Nissan builds first 2022 Pathfinder before hitting the market this summer

The new 2022 Nissan Pathfinder SUV arrives at dealerships this summer with a new tough exterior and a modern cabin with seating for 8 people.

Nissan built the first 2022 Pathfinder prototype at its Smyrna, Tennessee plant, ahead of the new SUV entering the market this summer.

The launch of the new Pathfinder marks another milestone in Nissan NEXT’s history. The SUV’s power comes from Nissan’s familiar 284 horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine mated to a new 9-speed automatic transmission in place of the previous model’s much-criticized CVT.

Car enthusiasts will be able to choose from a completely new intelligent all-wheel drive system that offers no less than 7 different modes for both on-road and off-road driving. In addition, the new Nissan Pathfinder can tow up to 2,721 kg.

The 2022 Pathfinder’s interior features an all-new 10.8-inch display, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 9-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard.

Customers will also be offered a new version of the captain’s seats in the second row. Nissan says the interior of the new Pathfinder is much quieter and more refined. You can spend some time in it with acoustic laminated glass, thicker second row windows and more soundproofing of doors and floors.

Details on pricing for the new 2022 Nissan Pathfinder are due in the coming weeks.
