Interesting spy photos of two test mules of the new Volkswagen ID electric minivan have been posted online. Buzz 2022, which will go on sale in a year. The German firm has cut its length to fit the new electric model, which will also receive a commercial version – an electric van.

The new spy photos show the actual dimensions of the model with the normal length. They correspond to the European version, which will have a more compact design. The model was wider, but the wheelbase was shorter compared to the commercial Volkswagen model, and the overhangs were very short.
Base ID. Buzz serves as the basis for both the passenger version and the commercial equipment. Both variants will also share a common exterior design. The second will have fully paneled sides, and both with a large vertically opening tailgate. The design of the model will follow the same steps as the rest of the brand’s new electric vehicles, practically mimicking the progress in the concept.

The future Bulli will go on sale in the summer of 2022 and will be one of the models based on the MEB platform. The minivan concept will put it in a more sophisticated version, so versions with two electric motors, rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive, as well as a battery with a capacity of up to 110 kWh are expected. The maximum flight range will be over 600 km. In 2025, ID. Buzz will also be a self-contained level 5.
