The highly anticipated 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser will be unveiled today. The newest car will be presented online.

Toyota has long been developing a next-generation Land Cruiser that is expected to receive the “300” in its name, and despite attempts to keep the SUV a secret, images and details have surfaced in recent months.

The new Land Cruiser will retain the same recognizable design as the J200 series model from a decade ago, but it comes with many notable changes. For example, the front end has been completely redesigned and boasts a new grille and air intakes that translate into redesigned optics. Other key exterior changes include the fitting of reshaped wheel arches that are more boxy than the current Land Cruiser. At the rear, the taillights will also be updated.

The Japanese car manufacturer has also made significant changes to the interior of the new Land Cruiser. For example, the SUV will launch with an enhanced infotainment system that sits above a new center console with a redesigned climate control unit. The leaked images also showcased 4 High and 4 Low powertrain modes, as well as a variety of off-road modes. The Land Cruiser will also feature Qi wireless smartphone charging and a JBL audio system.

Not much is known about the powertrain, but some reports suggest a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 could be offered, as well as a hybrid variant of that engine. The 3.3-liter V6 turbodiesel may also be available in select markets.
