The updated 2022 Chevrolet Silverado pickup was given a test drive in the mountains

The refreshed 2022 Chevrolet Silverado heads to the mountains for testing at altitude. The pictures of the test car are shared by The Fast Lane Truck.

The updated Chevrolet Silverado pickup still has a protective film on the new spy shots: camouflage covers the front and rear of the updated truck and hides the changes very well. However, the new headlights can be seen – the manufacturer decided to use round lamps.

This is a pretty radical change, so it is possible that we are only seeing so-called placeholders. They promised to refine the interior of the pickup, and the technical stuffing of the popular truck will also be upgraded.

So the interior of the restyled Chevrolet Silverado will be very similar to the last Suburban. A teaser image of the updated Sierra Denali shows it using a cluster of digital sensors. Older Silverado versions can get this screen too.

As a reminder, Chevy is developing the rugged Silverado ZR2 in parallel. Such a pickup truck received an increased ground clearance, special protective plates, new shock absorbers, etc.

A 6.2-liter V8 with 420 horsepower will be responsible for its performance. In the market, the new pickup will have to compete with the Ford F-150 Tremor and Ram 1500 Rebel. We are waiting for the debut of the pickup in the very near future, and its sales should start before the end of the year. The brand is also about to launch an electric Silverado, if rumors are to be believed. True, such an electric pickup will have to wait a few more years.

Earlier, our portal said that the KIA EV6 electric crossover is in great demand at the start of sales. The number of pre-orders turned out to be three times higher than the figure that the automaker was counting on.
