Updated compact MPV Nissan NV200 Vanette presented in Japan

The modernized Nissan NV200 Vanette entered the home market of the brand. This compact MPV has been rolling off the assembly line for 12 years, so changes were necessary.

The first thing the Japanese did to freshen up their model was to finalize the design. The updated Nissan NV200 Vanette received larger rear-view mirrors, as well as an additional lower section on the passenger side. It will become more convenient to park with it.

The engine range has not changed: in Japan, the new NV200 Vanette will continue to be sold with an uncontested 113-horsepower 1.6-liter engine, only now it is entitled to a standard start-stop system. Front-wheel drive compact vans instead of the old 4-speed automatic transmission receive a variator.

Such a replacement helped to make the model more economical, and the updated compact MPV increased the carrying capacity from 600 to 650 kilograms.

For versions with all-wheel drive, only a 4-speed automatic transmission is available. For them, the declared carrying capacity is lower – 500 kg.

The salon was also updated, but very modestly. The steering wheel receives a special antibacterial coating, and the passenger seat on all versions has additional adjustments. In the basic cargo-passenger modification DX, the second row of seats is a separate “bench” without head restraints. More advanced options get a full sofa with a 60:40 split back.
