US President Biden tests new Ford F-150 electric truck in Michigan

The American president tested the new Ford F-150 Lightning SUV ahead of its official show. Biden got behind the wheel and accelerated the car to 128 km / h.

The highly anticipated Ford F-150 Lightning SUV is due to be unveiled to the world on Wednesday evening, May 19. But the novelty recently surfaced unexpectedly when US President Biden visited the Rouge plant in Dearborn.

During a speech at the concern, a silver prototype Ford F-150 Lightning without any camouflage was parked in the background. This was intentional as the car was clearly positioned to be seen in the background.

Some obvious visual changes have taken place at the front of the F-150 Lightning, including the installation of distinctive headlights and an LED light strip that extends across the width of the bezel. There is also a closed high-gloss black radiator grille. The front bumper is much the same as the combustion engine F-150 models. And also the same side mirrors and windshield.

During his visit to the factory, the American president tested the F-150 Lightning camouflage prototype. He told reporters that “this bum is fast.” He then states that the SUV accelerates to 96 km / h in about 4.3 or 4.4 seconds.

A Ford spokesman replies that the automaker has yet to release details of the acceleration. Then Biden accelerated to 128 km / h in an electric truck.

Biden visited the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center in Dearborn to promote his infrastructure plan, which will include billions of dollars of investment in electric vehicle development.
